“Beneath the social mask we wear every day, we have a hidden shadow side: an impulsive, wounded, sad, or isolated part that we generally try to ignore. The Shadow can be a source of emotional richness and vitality, and acknowledging it can be a pathway to healing and an authentic life.”
Luckily, Mercury Retrograde can offer more than the dread of malfunctioning electronics, getting lost and miscommunication! Mercury is the planet of Hermes—messenger to the spirit world. When Mercury Retrograde occurs, a powerful portal opens for crossing spirit boundaries: it is a time for inner reflection, reclamation, journeying ‘backward’ and honoring our creative soul.
In a world rushed by the ever-present quest to move forward, we can reclaim ‘The Pause Button’. In pausing to reflect, we may catch up with what has been missed or overlooked, heal, integrate, and seek research to create meaningful strategies for the future.
“Shame hates it when we reach out and tell our story. It hates having words wrapped around it—it can't survive being shared. Shame loves secrecy. When we bury our story, the shame metastasizes.”
This gathering is an invitation for any woman, regardless of age, who is called to dive deeply into her inner workings to feed the lively force of her future creation. Together we will gently touch and connect with the powerful realm of shadow self in writing practice. Through this supported journey may we discover what creative potential is ripe and waiting in darkness we may often avoid—those parts of ourselves, misunderstood and lonely, that the conditioning of childhood or society may have once asked us to disown or reject. Practicing reconciliation and co-creation with our shadows releases shame and welcomes our once exiled shadows and their creative inspiration back to the home hearth of the heart.
Workshop is limited to 12 participants. No writing experience necessary.
